ABOUT SHELLY
Shelly Wozniak is a corporate folklorist, leadership champion, systems thinker, motivator and award-winning journalist with 19 years of experience directing creative teams that improve competitive advantage through innovative communications and marketing programs.
Most notably, Shelly served as the Senior Director of Corporate Communications for NANA Regional Corporation (NANA), where she was responsible for the company's integrated communication strategy and program implementation. Previous communication positions also include serving as NANA's Corporate Communications director and manager and the public relations manager for both NANA Development Corporation (NDC) and the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau (now Visit Anchorage).
Additionally, Shelly was the co-producer and host of the Public Radio News Director (PRNDI) award-winning radio program AK from the Alaska Public Radio Network (APRN). Some Alaskans know her as Michelle Chick from her career at New Northwest Broadcasters where she served as the operations manager for the Anchorage cluster, program director of KWLF and KUWL in Fairbanks, and a radio personality on KWLF, KUWL, KFAT, and KXLR.
Shelly is a mixed metabolic workout enthusiast and self-proclaimed theatre nerd. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) and received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Alaska Pacific University (APU) where she graduated summa cum laude.
